CONFERENCE PROGRAM

PREMUS 2010 will highlight best current research on the prevention of work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Keynotes, symposia, round tables, plenary sessions and posters will focus on various topics, including:
 

  • Mechanisms of disease,
  • Exposure assessment,
  • Clinical aspects and prevention studies,
  • Intervention, primary prevention, work organization,
  • Etiological studies and epidemiological methods,
  • Psychological and psychosocial aspects of disease and disability,
  • Social and economics aspects,
  • Regulatory and legal policies.


PREMUS 2010 provides a unique opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and expertise in research and practice at an international level.
The conference language will be English and a translation into French will be available during some plenary sessions.

François Daniellou (France): Work organizational factors (provisional title).

Philippe Mairiaux (Belgium): Management of LBP and the working environment.

David Rempel (USA): Carpal tunnel syndrome (provisional title).

Barbara Silverstein (USA): From knowledge to practice. ("Asa Kilbom memorial", in memory of Asa Kilbom who was at the origin of the first PREMUS conference in Stockholm in 1992).

Gisela Sjogaard (Denmark): Mechanisms in muscle activity.

Nicole Vezina (Canada): Work organisation and musculoskeletal disorders.

Eira Viikari-Juntura (Finland): The role of personal factors, what do we need to know and to take into account?
