WDPI CONFERENCE ABTSRACT SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Abstract submission for WDPI - general information

We invite you to submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation. Abstract submission for WDPI 2010 is coordinated through the joint PREMUS / WDPI 2010 abstract submission website, accessible through the link below.

Abstracts should address one of the conference themes:

  • return-to-work and disability prevention and workplace integration interventions

  • interdisciplinary approaches across a range of conditions

  • work disability determinants

  • measures of work disability, and evaluating successful work re-integration outcomes

  • impact of policies and practices on outcomes

There are several specific areas of interest that will be organized into topical sessions; these include:

  • Musculoskeletal disorder

  • Cancer and work disability

  • Mental health conditions

Presenters interested in these sessions are encouraged to indicate that their abstract is targeted to one of these topics, in addition to one of the conference themes.

The deadline for submission is Jan 31, 2010
All abstracts will be peer-reviewed using a blinded system. Accepted abstracts will be scheduled according to thematic and subject categories.  Notice of abstract acceptance will be distributed by email around March 20, 2010, along with information on allocation to a specific oral presentation or poster session. The authors of leading presentations will be invited to submit a paper to be published in a special issue of the Journal of Occupational Rehabilitation, the official journal of the ICOH WDPI section.

Submitting an abstract does not automatically register you for the conference – you must do this separately. All presenters must register for the conference by May 15, 2010 in order for their abstract to be included in the program.

The WDPI Scientific Meeting is not accepting proposals for symposia, but will review proposals for topical sessions, where abstracts are reviewed along with all other submissions. Contact Glenn.Pransky@libertymutual.com if you are interested in chairing a topical session.
